Our Impact

Dignity, Opportunity, Hope

Our organization’s impact is evidenced through the ways in which we assist and empower our communities.

MAGZ Health Services was established in 2015 as a comprehensive community health database aimed at serving the needs and interests of the general public by providing information and referral services. Our goal is to provide consumers with readily available information and access to benefits if they are eligible.

Since our inception, we have provided essential resources to families, individuals, and organizations, including churches, to promote health awareness. We also assist seniors and individuals with disabilities by giving volunteer counseling services through GeorgiaCare. Our commitment to improving underserve communities’ overall health and well-being has been unwavering. We strive to achieve this goal through our various programs and initiatives.

Our Engagement

GeorgiaCare is a public-private partnership administered by the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Aging Services (DAS). As the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for Georgia, GeorgiaCares is committed to providing accessible, unbiased, factual information and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers on health and drug plans.

Additionally, MAGZ has been an integral part of a community program on WGFS 1430 AM in Covington, GA. This program aims to inform the community about available resources, including but not limited to health information, food assistance, and medical benefits. This informative program airs on Fridays at 10 am over the radio and the internet. MAGZ also collaborates with radio partners such as IRIEATL and Da Power House Radio Show in Georgia, to disseminate information and promote events that benefit communities.

Present Activities

Our organization operates as a comprehensive resource center, providing various agencies with community information, health education, and referral services. Our primary goal is to assist the elderly, individuals, families, and the general public in acquiring the necessary resources to feel safe, healthy, and happy.

As part of our services, we refer low-income families to sources that offer free or low-cost health services, such as low-cost prescriptions through GoodRx or other pharmacy discount companies. Additionally, we refer females to accessible mammograms or pap tests through the American Cancer Society.

Our nonprofit organization works closely with reputable organizations, such as Hope Redemption Worship Center and Hosanna Ministries, Inc. These organizations are U.S.-based, nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(C)(3) tax-exempt charitable organizations and provide outpatient mental health and chemical dependency services for children, veterans, the elderly, and adults.

These activities take place throughout the year in Conyers and Snellville, Georgia. By providing information and referrals to healthcare services, we further our tax-exempt purposes, including helping the uninformed access available healthcare services.
