Build practical dementia-care knowledge while completing the ADDC Seminar required for eligible professionals pursuing the Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP®) credential through NCCDP.
MAGZ Health Services presents the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care (ADDC) Seminar for healthcare professionals, frontline staff, caregivers, administrators, and others who want stronger dementia-care knowledge.
You may attend the seminar for professional development even if you are not pursuing the CDP® credential. Participants seeking CDP® certification must separately meet NCCDP eligibility requirements and apply directly through NCCDP.
The seminar addresses essential areas of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care with an emphasis on practical, person-centered approaches.
MAGZ Health Services offers the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar live virtually in either a one-day intensive format or a two-day format, depending on the scheduled session. Participants must attend the entire scheduled seminar to meet completion requirements.
Some seminar dates may be offered as a single live virtual training day.
Other seminar dates may be divided across two live virtual sessions, typically about four hours each day.
Participants must attend the complete scheduled seminar to receive the seminar certificate.
The CDP® credential is issued by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). MAGZ Health Services provides the ADDC Seminar; NCCDP determines certification eligibility and processes the CDP® application.
Approval for 7 Nursing CEUs through the CEU Network is currently pending. If approval is received, eligible participants may have the option to obtain 7 Nursing CEUs for an additional $28. Final continuing education information and applicable CEU instructions will be provided to participants.
Advance registration and payment are required. Group registration is available for employers, assisted living communities, home care agencies, senior living organizations, healthcare organizations, and community groups.
Student digital handout notebook included.
Cancellation Fee: $75
CDP® application and certification fees are separate and are not included in MAGZ seminar tuition.
Recording, photographing, copying, reproducing, distributing, or sharing protected seminar materials is prohibited. Participants may not use screen recording, audio recording, video recording, screenshots, or other recording methods during the seminar.
This is a live instructor-led seminar, not a self-paced course. Registered participants will receive access instructions before class and are expected to remain actively engaged throughout the full scheduled seminar.
