MAGZ Health Services presents the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care (ADDC) Seminar for healthcare professionals, frontline staff, caregivers, administrators, and others who want stronger dementia-care knowledge.

You may attend the seminar for professional development even if you are not pursuing the CDP® credential. Participants seeking CDP® certification must separately meet NCCDP eligibility requirements and apply directly through NCCDP.

Important: Completion of the seminar does not automatically make a participant a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP®).

Flexible Live Virtual Format

One-Day or Two-Day Delivery, Depending on the Scheduled Session.

MAGZ Health Services offers the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar live virtually in either a one-day intensive format or a two-day format, depending on the scheduled session. Participants must attend the entire scheduled seminar to meet completion requirements.

One-Day Option

Some seminar dates may be offered as a single live virtual training day.

Two-Day Option

Other seminar dates may be divided across two live virtual sessions, typically about four hours each day.

Full Attendance Required

Participants must attend the complete scheduled seminar to receive the seminar certificate.

CDP® Pathway

Planning to Become a Certified Dementia Practitioner?

The CDP® credential is issued by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). MAGZ Health Services provides the ADDC Seminar; NCCDP determines certification eligibility and processes the CDP® application.

General Eligibility Requirements

  • Complete the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care (ADDC) Seminar.
  • Have at least one year of paid experience in the geriatric healthcare industry.
  • Qualify for your position through a license, certification or degree, OR meet applicable state requirements for a position that does not require one.

Documents to Prepare

  • Certificate of Completion from the ADDC Seminar.
  • An active healthcare license or certification; OR
  • A college diploma or transcripts; OR
  • An administrator letter when the position does not require a license, certification, or degree.

Continuing Education Notice

Approval for 7 Nursing CEUs through the CEU Network is currently pending. If approval is received, eligible participants may have the option to obtain 7 Nursing CEUs for an additional $28. Final continuing education information and applicable CEU instructions will be provided to participants.

CDP® application and certification fees are separate and are not included in MAGZ seminar tuition.

Participant Requirements

Recording & Course Materials

Recording, photographing, copying, reproducing, distributing, or sharing protected seminar materials is prohibited. Participants may not use screen recording, audio recording, video recording, screenshots, or other recording methods during the seminar.

Live Attendance Required

This is a live instructor-led seminar, not a self-paced course. Registered participants will receive access instructions before class and are expected to remain actively engaged throughout the full scheduled seminar.
