Supporting the Mission of MAGZ

Charitable contributions help MAGZ Health Services support health education, community outreach, wellness programming, training activities, resource navigation, and other mission-related work.

MAGZ seeks to handle donations responsibly, maintain appropriate records, and communicate clearly with donors about how contributions may be accepted and administered.

1. Acceptance of Donations

MAGZ Health Services may accept charitable contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations, community organizations, and other supporters when those contributions are consistent with the organization's mission, values, legal obligations, and operational needs.

Donations may include monetary contributions, approved supplies, sponsorship support, or other forms of charitable assistance accepted by MAGZ Health Services.

2. Use of Donations

Unrestricted donations may be used where MAGZ Health Services determines they can most effectively support the organization's mission and charitable activities.

This may include activities such as:

  • Community health education
  • Health promotion and prevention activities
  • Healthy aging and caregiver education
  • Community outreach
  • Educational materials and supplies
  • Training and community workshops
  • Resource-navigation activities
  • Program development and administration
  • Other mission-related operating needs

MAGZ Health Services may adjust the use of unrestricted funds as community needs, program priorities, and organizational circumstances change.

3. Restricted or Designated Donations

A donor may occasionally request that a contribution support a specific MAGZ program, activity, campaign, or charitable purpose.

A restriction is considered accepted only when MAGZ Health Services has agreed that the requested use is consistent with the organization's mission and that the organization can reasonably administer the restriction.

Important

A notation entered into an online payment form or donation message does not automatically create a binding restricted gift unless MAGZ Health Services has accepted the restriction.

If a designated program is completed, substantially changed, no longer offered, or receives more support than reasonably needed, MAGZ may contact the donor when appropriate to discuss an alternative charitable use.

4. Online Donations & Payment Processing

MAGZ Health Services may provide online donation options through third-party payment processors such as PayPal and Stripe.

Payment card information entered directly into those services is processed by the applicable payment provider under that provider's own terms, privacy policy, and security practices.

MAGZ may receive transaction details such as the donor's name, contact information, donation amount, transaction date, and other information provided by the payment processor that is necessary for donation administration, accounting, and acknowledgment.

5. Donation Acknowledgments & Receipts

MAGZ Health Services may provide an acknowledgment, receipt, or other donation record for contributions received.

Donors are responsible for retaining appropriate documentation for their personal or business records.

If goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution, the acknowledgment may reflect that fact when applicable.

6. Donation Refunds

Charitable contributions are generally considered final once processed.

However, MAGZ Health Services may review refund requests involving circumstances such as:

  • Duplicate transactions
  • Incorrect donation amounts
  • Unauthorized transactions
  • Documented payment-processing errors
  • Other exceptional circumstances

Refund requests should be submitted promptly. Approval is determined based on the circumstances of the transaction, applicable payment-processor requirements, and other relevant considerations.

7. In-Kind Donations & Donated Supplies

MAGZ Health Services may accept certain supplies, equipment, educational materials, or other non-cash contributions when they are appropriate for current programs and organizational needs.

MAGZ reserves the right to decline items that are damaged, expired, unsafe, unsuitable, unnecessary, difficult to store, or otherwise inappropriate for organizational use.

Acceptance of an in-kind donation does not mean MAGZ Health Services has assigned or agreed to a particular monetary value for that property.

Donors are responsible for obtaining their own professional advice regarding the valuation and tax treatment of non-cash donations.

8. Donor Privacy

MAGZ Health Services respects donor privacy and uses donor information for legitimate purposes such as processing contributions, maintaining financial records, issuing acknowledgments, responding to donor inquiries, and communicating about organizational activities.

MAGZ does not sell personal donor information submitted through its website.

Payment processors and other third-party platforms may separately collect information according to their own privacy practices.

Additional information about MAGZ website privacy practices is available in our Privacy Policy .

9. Tax Information

MAGZ Health Services is a nonprofit organization. Donors should consult their own tax, financial, or legal advisor regarding whether and to what extent a particular contribution is deductible or has other tax consequences.

MAGZ Health Services does not provide individual tax, legal, or financial advice through this website.

Donation Documentation

Donors should retain receipts, acknowledgments, payment confirmations, and any other documentation relevant to their contribution.

10. Right to Decline or Return a Donation

MAGZ Health Services reserves the right to decline, return, or refuse a proposed donation when accepting it would be inconsistent with the organization's mission, legal obligations, ethical standards, operational capacity, or reputation.

MAGZ may also decline a contribution that includes conditions the organization cannot reasonably fulfill or administer.

11. Changes to This Donation Policy

MAGZ Health Services may update this Donation Policy periodically to reflect changes in donation methods, organizational practices, programs, payment platforms, legal requirements, or operational needs.

Material updates may be reflected by revising the effective date shown on this page.
